International Partner Programme (IPP)
International Partner Programme (IPP)
The International Partner Programme (IPP) is The Tutors’ Association’s integrated framework for enabling high-quality, trusted international collaboration in tuition and educational services. Its purpose is to facilitate fair, transparent and well-regulated international collaboration in educational service provision, allowing students worldwide to access reputable tuition provision or other educational services while reducing risk for all parties involved.
Who is TTA’s International Partner Programme for?
The programme has benefits for three distinct groups: International Partners, Corporate and Affiliate TTA Members, and Individual TTA Members.
- International Partners are organisations based outside the UK (including overseas subsidiaries of UK companies) that enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TTA to join the IPP. This MoU establishes a shared framework of standards, conduct and non-circumvention, enabling International Partners to work confidently and transparently with participating TTA Members.
- Note: International Partners must also join TTA as a corporate or affiliate partner if they wish to sell products/services to TTA members or utilise TTA members as resellers. There is no requirement for membership if International Partners only intend to purchase or resell TTA Member services.
- Corporate and Affiliate Partner TTA Members are eligible to join the IPP and get access to our comprehensive ‘Commercial Agreements’ that enable them to do business internationally and either sell to International Partners directly, or work with International Partners as resellers or agents to access markets around the world.
- Companies that do not provide tuition but sell educational products and services are eligible to join TTA as an Affiliate Partner in order to participate in the programme.
- Individual Members are eligible to join the IPP and get access to our ‘Individual Tutor Engagement Agreements’, enabling them to work as a tutor for International Partners or their clients (whether the International Partner acts as an intermediary and processes the payment or whether they just introduce the clients directly to the tutors).
Benefits of the International Partner Programme
There are several significant benefits to the International Partner Programme for both International Partners and TTA members:
Benefits for International Partners:
TTA’s International Partner Programme means that organisations around the world can now engage with trusted and effective delivery partners/suppliers with minimal cost and risk.
International Partners gain direct access to reputable tuition and education providers that can be relied upon to deliver quality services, whether it is online/in-person provision, remote specialist teachers, summer schools or residential courses.
Utilising standard, balanced commercial agreements, International Partners can quickly and easily enter into legal agreements with providers that provide important protections for their legitimate business interests with minimal cost. The legal documentation is easy to complete with clearly marked schedules for operating model, services and fees.
Our International Partner Programme and the accompanying legal documentation allows you to engage with TTA members via different business models, whether it is direct purchases/sales, as an intermediary, or via client introductions (in either direction).
Joining the International Partner Programme as an International Partner is completely free if you only want to purchase services from TTA Members or resell them (either as an intermediary or as an agent). If International Partners also want to sell or resell their own products or services, they must join TTA and the International Partner Programme as a supplier.
Benefits for TTA Members:
TTA’s International Partner Programme is an incredible way to enable TTA members to access market opportunities for education all around the world.
The IPP enables TTA members to engage with buyers, resellers and education agents around the world who have agreed to TTA’s IPP framework by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding with TTA.
Joining the IPP includes a licence to use TTA’s comprehensive Commercial Agreement (for corporate/affiliate partner members) or the Individual Tutor Engagement Agreement (for individual members), which is easy to complete and covers a range of business models on fair and standard legal terms.
The IPP is created and managed solely by TTA on a fair and impartial basis, with a balanced dispute resolution mechanism managed by TTA, designed to ensure that all parties engage in good faith.
Join TTA’s quarterly question and answer sessions to ask questions about growing your business internationally.
TTA runs trade missions and other international business growth events, which are available exclusively for IPP participants.
Note: TTA cannot guarantee that members will find International Partners that want to work with them, or that will agree to enter into a contract with them, or that they will make sales through the IPP. International Partners are not obliged to enter into agreements with any particular organisation or individual and may decline to do so without stating a reason.
Benefits of the International Partner Programme
There is no fee for International Partners to join the IPP to purchase services from TTA members or to resell TTA member services (subject to eligibility criteria).
For TTA Members to join the programme, including International Partners wishing to sell their own services to (or resell via) TTA Members or other International Partners, there is a modest annual fee to cover the costs of creating and maintaining the International Partner Programme. These costs are:
- For corporate and affiliate partner members: £400 +VAT per annum.
- For individual members: £100 +VAT per annum.
These fees are inclusive of: a licence to use TTA’s IPP legal documentation, introductions to International Partners and quarterly question and answer sessions.
Participating in trade missions and some international business growth events is subject to additional fees.
