Your Day at NTC25

What to expect — from someone who’s lived (and loved) every minute of it.

Last year’s National Tutors’ Conference was one of those rare days where the energy never dipped, the conversations kept flowing, and you could feel something shifting across the sector. Whether you came for the CPD, the networking, the fresh ideas — or just to feel part of a wider community — you left with more than you came with. That’s exactly what I’m building again this year.

We start bright and early at 8:00am with the Breakfast Club Networking in the Exhibition Zone — low-pressure, high-quality chats over coffee and pastries. At the same time, the Exhibition Zone officially opens, so you can start exploring 40+ tuition-specific stands before things even kick off.

At 8:55am the Welcome with the TTA Officers begins on the Main Stage in the Exhibition Zone — a short moment to pause, get grounded, and feel the buzz build. Then it’s straight into Speed Regional Networking at 9:10am — quickfire conversations that connect you with tutors from your area. New for 2026, I can’t wait to see what local collaborations come out of this 20-minute session alone!

At 9:30am, Session 1 and Session 2 begin across our five themed stages — you get to choose what matters most to you: pedagogy, innovation, inclusivity, growth, or strategy. Then it’s time for the mid-morning networking break at 11:00am — tea, coffee, snacks and conversations with fellow tutors, speakers, or that exhibitor you didn’t get a chance to chat to earlier.

At 11:15am, Pencil Spaces takes over the Innovation Arena for a live product demo. Then we dive into Session 3 and Session 4 at 11:45am — more chances to learn, reflect, and pick up practical tools to use in your day-to-day work straight away.

From 1:15pm to 2:30pm, we break for lunch and relaxed networking. This is where so many unexpected connections happen — the ones that start with “I loved your question in that session” or “Have you tried this platform?”. At 1:50pm there will be an Alternative Provision Meet in the Innovation Arena supported by SENsational Tutors, or a Mindfulness Walk over to Hyde Park. At 2:20pm, we pause for something a little unexpected: the After-Lunch Shimmy. It’s light, it’s energetic, and it gives everyone a much-needed reset before the afternoon kicks off.

At 2:30pm, we head into Session 5 and Session 6 — and this is where the day gets really exciting. There’s something about the afternoon sessions that just hits differently — maybe it’s the post-lunch clarity, maybe it’s the amazing speakers, or maybe it’s just the collective energy in the rooms.

At 4:00pm, we gather again for the Presidents’ Closing — a chance to reflect on what the day has meant, celebrate the community we’re all part of, and look ahead to what’s next for tutoring. And then… the final stretch of connection begins. From 4:00pm to 6:00pm, the Exhibition Zone remains open during the #NTC25 Drinks Reception. This is your opportunity to revisit stands, follow up with speakers or delegates, and turn the day’s conversations into collaborations. It’s relaxed, welcoming, and honestly where some of the best networking of the day happens. The conference will finally close at 8pm.

That’s your day at NTC25 — not just a schedule, but an experience. A chance to feel part of something bigger, to step out of the day-to-day, and to spend time with people who care deeply about the same things you do. If you’ve never been, now’s your time. If you’ve been before, you already know what I’m talking about! I can’t wait to see you there.
