Do remember that with the freedom to home-educate comes a responsibility to give your child all those opportunities in life that come with qualifications.  Remember that you do not have to follow the norm, or a mainstream education approach to educating your child at home. Home-educating brings a unique opportunity to pick and choose what they enjoy learning but it’s also important to equip your child with all those essential qualifications and skills that they will need later in life. 

Facing a full GCSE or A Level specification from home can be daunting.  Indeed, it should be daunting if you are expecting to undertake a thorough job with a successful outcome.  However, it can also be rewarding and very enjoyable. The key is to be diligent, organised and committed.  There will be moments of confusion, regret and despair but overall, on results day, if you have worked as a team and put in the graft, your results will no doubt be well deserved and most probably excellent.
