As the summer exam season is in full swing for many tutors, TTA has been looking forward and planning how best to support members in the months and years ahead. With the announcement of a General Election on the 4th of July, there is much that TTA will be doing to create new opportunities and to safeguard the tuition sector. You can expect to hear more on this soon.
In May we have announced two further major initiatives to support the tuition sector: TTA’s ‘Summer Sessions’, taking place in July and August, and the tuition trade mission to China in September. These combine to provide a wealth of outstanding opportunities for both individual tutors and tuition companies alike and more detail on both is covered via the link below.
TTA’s Summer Sessions are an amazing way for tutors and tuition company team members to engage with CPD delivered by experienced specialists from across the tuition sector, as well as selected tuition partners. Almost every aspect of tuition activity is covered in some respect. I would encourage all members to look through the very busy schedule and sign up to those sessions which you think will help you to improve your own tuition practice and business, as so many others have done already.
The China Trade Mission is designed to support members to develop contacts in China with schools, agencies and other relevant organisations. It is solely focussed on the tuition sector, led by people who have experience in international trade in conjunction with UK and China-based partners. To find out more, sign up to the Q&A on the 5th of June at 10am and, if you are interested, complete the registration form to participate.
Finally, there can be no update without mentioning two of our biggest events of the year: the National Tutoring Awards, with the awards dinner itself taking place on the 21st of June, and the National Tutors’ Conference taking place this year on the 24th of October and which will be announced in the near future. The Awards themselves have had record nominations and judges’ main complaint has been trying to discern between so many strong nominations to produce the shortlist. Congratulations to all those who have been shortlisted for their phenomenal achievement and we look forward to seeing you on the 21st of June! If you haven’t got your ticket, be quick as space is limited and tickets are running out – you can register for yours here.
