Designated Safeguarding Lead and Safeguarding Course Leader (Part-Time, low time commitment)
Salary: Negotiable hourly rate, dependent on experience. Relevant training provided as required.
Hours: 2-8 hours per month (paid for a minimum of 2).
Location: Fully remote (with some occasional travel to TTA events).
Requirements of the Role:
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for The Tutors’ Association.
- Note: As TTA does not deliver tuition itself nor provide tutors to clients or schools, we receive very few safeguarding concerns each year, usually between one to three and so the caseload for this is very light).
- Provide safeguarding advice and guidance for TTA’s internal team or membership as required.
- Work with the team to develop and deliver safeguarding training courses for members.
Candidate Profile:
Essential requirements (candidates must meet all these criteria):
- Strong understanding of safeguarding in education (i.e. KCSIE).
- Some understanding of the tuition sector (or willing and interested to learn).
- Experience delivering safeguarding training.
Highly desirable (candidates are expected to meet most of these criteria):
- Any experience dealing with safeguarding concerns in an educational context.
