SAFE fully understands the time restraints in which many professionals are under therefore attending a virtual or F2F course may not be possible. SAFE has therefore created an online E-Learning programme named ‘Designated Safeguarding Lead for Tutors (Children & Young People), designed specifically for the tutoring sector(s).
The E-Learning is applicable to tutors, either working as sole providers or for agencies, as well as those employing other tutors.

~ Relevant Legislation & Guidance (KCSIE, WTSC), ~ Importance of a Child Focus, ~Child Protection process, ~Partnership Thresholds and referrals, ~Contextual Safeguarding, ~ Child Exploitation, ~Prevent Duty, ~Risk Assessments, ~Safer Recruiting
How long does the course take? We recommend setting aside at least 90 x Minutes.
Do I need to complete the course in the one-sitting? Although we would recommend completing the course in the one-sitting, you can opt to pause and resume the session whenever convenient to you.
Are there any assessments? Yes, throughout the course there are several quizzes and interactive questions. Registrants must complete the final quiz and obtain a score of 100%. Multiple attempts are permitted.
Do I receive a certificate? Yes, you will receive an electronic certificate upon completion.

Day ‘Safeguarding DSL for Tutors (Children & Young People)’ – Virtual or F2F Training
If you would prefer training with a real-time trainer, this option is the ideal solution for you. This in-depth course may be a better fit for tutoring agencies and larger companies that employ other tutors. We can also run a ‘bespoke’ training option where we will deliver the training course solely to an organisation/team and ensure it is tailored to reflect the organisation’s safeguarding structure(s) and potential scenarios in which one may encounter on a day-to-day basis.
This training is delivered as a 1 x Day course (09.30AM – 16.00PM) whereby we can cater for a maximum of 20 x delegates. Upon completion, delegates will receive a certificate of completion.

-Specific safeguarding considerations when working online as a tutor
-Working with international clients – specific safeguarding considerations and concerns, including dealing with disclosures outside UK jurisdiction.
