Dear Members,
As we approach the end of another remarkable year, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on some recent achievements and share exciting updates for the months ahead. Our London Christmas Regional Event is just around the corner, taking place on the evening of Thursday, the 5th of December. This promises to be a wonderful chance to meet, share ideas, and celebrate the festive season together. If you haven’t registered yet, I encourage you to register here for some festive drinks and networking.
In November, TTA proudly represented members at GESS Dubai, reinforcing our commitment to international engagement. It was fantastic to connect with new and existing members at the Dubai Regional Event on the 15th of November, highlighting the global reach and influence of our association. There is much more to come!
Last month, The Tutors’ Association hosted its largest-ever National Tutors’ Conference on the 24th of October, which was followed by a successful Tuition Leadership Day on the 25th. These events showcased the best of the tuition sector, with inspiring speakers, lively networking, and invaluable insights into the future of our industry. Thank you to everyone who participated and made these days truly memorable, and a particular thank you to our sponsors who helped to make the event possible.
Looking further into the future, 2025 will be a pivotal year for international business development opportunities. We are planning:
- Representation at BETT London in January, offering members the chance to showcase their services to a global audience.
- A China Trade Mission in February/March, building on the success of this year’s delegation.
- A Middle East Trade Mission in November 2025, with stops in Dubai, Riyadh, and possibly more.
These initiatives underscore our commitment to supporting members in expanding their businesses internationally. More details will follow shortly.
In addition, following our National Tutors Conference, TTA sent two officers to represent the tuition sector along with Mohan Dhall, from the Australian Tutors’ Association, at the UNESCO Private Supplementary Tuition Policy Forum in Paris. This was a great success, enabling us to engage with policymakers from around the world to change the perception and approach towards tuition. Previously, policymakers were suspicious and concerned about the global tuition market but we made a strong case for them to adopt a more balanced and understanding approach towards the benefits of the tuition sector.
I look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming events and continuing to work together to champion the tuition sector. As always, thank you for your dedication and support as we move into another exciting chapter for The Tutors’ Association.
