#NTC24 – The 8th National Tutors’ Conference

What a day! Reflecting on this year’s National Tutors’ Conference, I’m filled with gratitude and pride for everything we accomplished together. With hundreds of passionate tutors, industry leaders, and education professionals gathering under one roof, we truly brought the tutoring community together for an unforgettable day of learning, connection, and inspiration.

Firstly, I have to thank our sponsors, who made so much of this event possible. Their belief in the power and potential of the tutoring industry is invaluable. Whether through supporting our sessions, the breakout rooms, the much-needed coffee stations, or the exhibition space, each sponsor added something vital to the day. Special thanks to our Platinum sponsors, Pencil Spaces, and our Gold sponsors, ClassIn and TutorOnboarder, for their incredible support in making the National Tutors’ Conference a memorable experience. I know I say it every year, but their support genuinely fuels the work we’re able to accomplish.

The conference was packed with insights and expertise thanks to an incredible lineup of speakers. To all the speakers, panellists, and workshop leaders—thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom. Your talks sparked new ideas, inspired fresh approaches, and delivered real, practical value. We heard so many sessions filled with actionable advice, from business growth strategies to supporting neurodivergent learners, and I was thrilled to see the rooms buzzing with energy and curiosity after each one. You all made this day memorable and brought invaluable insights that will ultimately benefit the students we all support.

Behind the scenes, it’s taken a team of incredibly dedicated people to bring this event to life. I may have been in the driver’s seat, but none of this would be possible without the steady support of John, Julius, our TTA officers, and the entire board. From coordinating logistics to ensuring every detail was just right, it’s been a labour of love. Thank you to everyone who pitched in—whether in planning, supporting on the day, or even in a friendly check-in along the way. It’s a team effort, and I’m grateful to work alongside such committed colleagues.

One of the most memorable parts of the conference for me is always the networking. The energy in the exhibition zone, the hallway chats, the animated discussions at every step—it was clear to see the power of bringing people together. This year, I saw tutors connecting, sharing stories, and even making plans to collaborate. It’s a reminder of how strong our community is and how much we gain from these moments of connection. The feedback we’ve already received shows that attendees left not only with new ideas but with new friends and colleagues, and that’s something I’m immensely proud of!

Thank you to every delegate who joined us this year and brought such warmth, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to learn and grow. Whether this was your first conference or you’ve been with us before, I’m so grateful you chose to be part of this event. I hope you found as much inspiration and value in the day as I did.

As we look toward the next National Tutors’ Conference, I’m already thinking about how we can make it even better, incorporating the fantastic feedback we’ve received. Thank you all for making this conference such a success, and I look forward to seeing where this journey takes us next year.

Here’s to another amazing year of learning, growth, and connection in the world of tutoring!
